Draft Minutes of the EXTRA ORDINARY Meeting of Tickton and Routh Parish Council held in the Tickton Village Hall, on Monday 27 February 2017

PUBLIC FORUM – No members of the public attended. 

  037/17 DECLARATION OF INTEREST – None declared.
  038/17 EMERGENCY PLAN

The initial Community Emergency Plan (CEP) was drafted by the Parish Council with the direction of Alan Bravey.   All confidential information to be removed prior to sharing with the public and replaced by one central mobile number – 07563 155095.

RESOLVED:  Clerk to liaise with Alan Bravey to implement the initial agreed CEP. 

  039/17 NEXT STEPS

To develop the CEP further the Parish Council agreed to;

·         Contact local businesses/organisations for approval to use premises as Emergency Shelters including Village Hall, Tickton Primary School, Methodist Chapel, Crown & Anchor, New Inn, Tickton Grange, BATA, Cherry Lane Garden Centre, All Saints Church and Nags Head, Routh.

·         Contact local businesses/organisations for approval to use premises as an Incident Room including Village Hall, Tickton Grange and Methodist Chapel.

·         Contact the Village Hall for approval to use premises by the Emergency Services.

·         To identify an emergency contact at Weel.

·         To invite people, businesses and organisations willing to offer help, specialist skills or knowledge to be included in the CEP.

·         To hold an Emergency Box containing agreed supplies at 1) Village Hall 2) All Saints Church, Routh and 3) Weel (location to be confirmed)

·         A Bravey to merge Severe Weather Plan 2017 with CEP to form one document.

RESOLVED:  Clerk to contact local business to secure named Emergency Shelters and Incident Rooms.  Invite the community willing to offer help, specialist skills or knowledge to be included in the CEP by advertising via Parish Council website, All About Tickton Facebook page and Tickton Diary.  Clerk to source items for Emergency Box and seek approval to purchase, streets maps to be provided by ERYC. Alan Bravey to update CEP when new contacts are identified and merge Severe Weather Plan 2017 to form one document.  Cllr T Walker to liaise with Weel residents to identity a contact. 

  040/17 ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

Alan Bravey agreed to present the CEP to parishioners at the Annual Parish Meeting scheduled to be held on Monday, 8th May 2017.

  041/17 There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.45 pm.  The next ordinary meeting of the Parish Council is scheduled for 20 March 2017 at 7.30pm
